The Planika Forma 1800 Range is a large format built in ethanol firebox collection designed for modern interiors where a longer flame feature is desired. Supplied as an all in one firebox insert with casing and automatic ethanol burner, the Forma 1800 creates a premium indoor fireplace without the need for a chimney, flue or gas connection.

The Forma 1800 is ideal for expansive living rooms, media walls, open plan interiors, luxury residential spaces, restaurants, hotels and commercial environments. Available in multiple configurations and compatible with Planika’s advanced FLA4 and FLA4+ burners, it combines clean burning BEV® Technology, automatic control and a striking long-line flame for high-end indoor projects. Planika describes Forma as a zero-clearance firebox insert supplied with casing and burner, designed to install into a wall opening with no chimney or hard fuel connection required.

Large Built In Firebox Design

The Forma 1800 is designed for statement indoor fireplace installations where a generous flame width is required. Its scale creates a strong focal point while still remaining suitable for residential feature walls, open plan lounges and premium hospitality interiors.

All In One Fireplace Insert

Each Forma unit is supplied as a complete fireplace solution, with the casing and automatic ethanol burner included. This simplifies specification and installation compared with building a custom firebox from separate components.

No Chimney or Hard Connection Required

The Forma 1800 does not require a chimney, flue or fixed gas connection. Only electrical power is required, giving designers and homeowners greater freedom when planning built-in fireplaces for contemporary indoor spaces.

Zero Clearance Installation

Forma is designed with zero clearance capability, allowing the firebox opening and surrounding finish to be created using a wide range of materials when installed according to Planika’s requirements. This makes it suitable for custom joinery, media walls, architectural surrounds and built-in feature walls. 

Clean Indoor Flame

Forma runs on bioethanol fuel, producing a flame without wood smoke, soot or ash. It is a refined alternative to traditional wood or gas fireplaces in interiors where conventional flue installation is not practical.

Burner Options

FLA4

FLA4 is Planika’s premium fully automatic linear ethanol burner, designed for high end built in fireplace installations. It uses BEV® Technology to create a clean line of fire without a chimney or hard fuel connection, and includes remote operation, automatic refuelling and smart control features. The FLA4 1490 burner offers an 8.6 L fuel tank, up to 9 hours of burn time, 13.0 kW heat output and 6 flame height stages. 

FLA4+

FLA4+ provides the same advanced linear flame technology as FLA4, with a larger fuel tank for extended use between refills. The FLA4+ 1490 burner offers a 26.8 L fuel tank, up to 30 hours of burn time, 13.0 kW heat output and 6 flame height stages.
